The Firm provides soft - landing, strategic and corporate legal
services to all relevant agents involved in the automotive
industry, ranging from manufacturers and auto - assembly
companies to original - equipment manufacturers (OEMs),
including tier one and tier two parts and service suppliers.
Our work generally commences in providing
soft landing solutions to our foreign clients,
where we assist on their business formation
in Mexico, including the design and structuring
of Mexican legal vehicles for such purposes,
the filing and undertaking of initial legal procedures
(e.g. tax, labour and immigration) as
well as support on ancillary practices, such
as intellectual property, customs and general
compliance of Mexican regulation, applicable
to this industry. In addition, we often
advise our clients on the benefits of, and
assist them for the qualification and registration
under, the Mexican IMMEX and Prosec
programmes, where they can opt for tax and
customs benefits for the importation of raw
materials and the export of finished products.
We aim to provide a comprehensive support
in all the relevant aspects of our clients’ operations,
advising on logistic solutions, warehouse
and facility transactions (including
pre-occupancy, leases, real estate financing
and sale & leaseback transactions), joint venture
undertakings, mergers-and-acquisitions
strategies, and general contracting matters,
with clients and service providers.
We can further address strategic challenges,
such as governmental dealings and domestic
and international expansion. The firm has
successfully advised certain players in their
international affairs, including the effects of
the ACE 55 treaty in Mexico and Latin America.
